Day 1: Arrival

Scheduled flight to Cairo, arrival in Cairo, you will picked up at the airport by our friendly employee, who will help you with the customs formalities. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Pyramids and Sphinx

After breakfast, you will be met by your private guide picked up for a trip to the pyramids and sphinx. Then it's on to the famous Egyptian Museum. Lunch is during the tour.

Day 3: RAMSES II

Upon arrival at Abu Simbel airport, you will be met by our support team awaits for transfer to your hotel in Abu Simbel. Here you will visit the great temple of RAMSES II, which had to be postponed due to the construction of the Nasersee reservoir.

Day 4: Nubian city of Abu Simbel

Enjoy the Nubian city of Abu Simbel, which only has about 2000 inhabitants this place in the Egyptian part of Nubia Abu Simbel And yet it is his Fame of immense size with the rock temple, which was built in the 13th century BC. Chr. were built in honor of King Ramses II and his wife Nefertari.

Day 5: Dam of Lake Nasser

In the morning, flight from Abu Simbel to Aswan, then visit the high dam (dam of Lake Nasser), the unfinished obelisk and the temple of ISIS near Philae. Embarkation and after lunch you can book a sailing excursion with "Felucca" Nile up and down the Nile with your local guide. During the night your ship sails to Kom Ombo.

Day 6: HORUS Temple

In the morning, visit the temple complex of the deities SOBEK and HAROERIS. Then the journey continues to Edfu. After a leisurely carriage ride, visit the HORUS temple. Your journey continues down the Nile to Luxor via the Esna lock.

Day 7: HATSCHEPSUT Temple

After breakfast you will visit the temples of Karnak and Luxor on the east bank of the Nile. After lunch accompanies you our team to the valley of kings and queens, as well as to the temple of HATSCHEPSUT, on the west bank of the Nile.

Day 8: Return to Zurich

In the morning, flight to Cairo. Our travel companion takes care of the flight and customs formalities for your return journey.

Vegetarian cuisine

For ages the Egyptians have been masters of what grows in the fertile Nile valley and what makes Egyptian cuisine vegetarian. Fool: is a thick porridge made from brown broad beans that have been boiled for hours, seasoned with lemon, various spices, oil and sometimes tomatoes. You eat sesame sauce with it. Taamia: are crispy fried vegetable balls with mashed savory.
