Trip Highlights:
A desert safari takes you through endless breathtaking desert landscapes, combined with picturesque sunsets and a star-studded night sky. You will see the mud huts and ancient ruins in the Egyptian oasis that can be local Acquire handicrafts and meet Bedouins who live according to centuries-old traditions. The Egyptian desert is a mystical place where "normal" life has no meaning, a place where water means everything and land ownership means nothing.
Cairo: In the footsteps of the pharaohs Day 1: Departure
Scheduled flight to Cairo, you will be picked up by our friendly employee at the airport, who will help you with the customs formalities. Transfer to the hotel, mailing in and overnight.
Day 2: DO ANKH AMON
After breakfast, your guide will show you the Egyptian Museum with the golden mask by TUT ANKH AMON and the citadel with the Mohamed ALI Mosque (Alabaster Mosque). In one of the oldest markets in the world, the Khan El Khali Bazaar, you can Buy Egyptian souvenirs in the afternoon and go to the world-famous Elfishawy Café you end the trip.
Day 3: Bahariya Oasis
After breakfast your journey into the desert to Bahariya Oasis begins, which in recent years especially as the valley of the golden Mummies became known. Abundant springs make the oasis a green island in the sea of sand. You will experience the hot springs, the palm grove and of course the exhibition on the famous golden mummies. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
The world-famous natural sculpture park Day 4: Farafra Oasis
On the way to the small oasis Farafra you pass the black desert (named after the black basalt rock) and the "Kristallberg". On a walk through the White Desert you will see countless Limestone formations formed bizarrely by wind and sand that literally consist of seem to be growing on the ground. Overnight in a tent.
Day 5: El Qasr
After breakfast visit to the original local history museum, then further through the western desert into what many think is the most beautiful Egyptian Oasis called visit of Dakhla's main town El Qasr and walk through the narrow streets of the old clay settlement.
Day 6: Monastery of Stones
Visit of Deir El Hajar, the "monastery of stones" from a temple the Roman Empire, which was later inhabited by Christian monks. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Shells, snails, ammonites, corals, springs, crystal mountains Day 7: Oasis Kharga (Douch)
Visit the Temple of Hibis (Hebet), the most famous of the oasis monuments due to its size, state of preservation and date: It is the only temple of the Persian era with large dimensions in Egypt. Also visit the Kharga Culture Museum for an overview of the antiquities in the Kharga and Dakhla oases. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 8: Luxor
After breakfast, drive to Luxor in the desert. You will arrive in Luxor in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 9: journey home
Our travel companion will take you to Luxor Airport after breakfast, then domestic flight to Cairo. In Cairo, our travel companion will take care of the flight and for you Customs formalities for your return journey
